Hello, my name is Annette McDade. I am a North Carolina native, born in Charlotte, but raised in Henderson County. I have one younger sister. I have been married for four years to my husband Ed, and I am a second mom to my husband’s son, William. My husband and I also have a daughter in law, Anna. We have a fur baby, an almost 10 year old dog named Bella.
After letting my first EMT certification go, I returned to class later and followed the EMT certification through to Paramedic, finishing in 2009. I went on to obtain my National Registry Paramedic a short time after that.
My role with PreMed training group is as an Administrative Assistant. I help with class registrations, site planning and coordinating for testing, test writing, and trauma makeup for scenario based training.
I currently work at Henderson County Rescue Squad. I am a Field Training Officer there as well as the EMS Coordinator. I have my certification for Technical Rescue, and I have been with the Rescue Squad since 2007.
I am working on completing my hours for my Level I instructor. I am currently an instructor for BLS and Stop the Bleed. I frequently teach classes in First Aid for Scouting. I also teach Moulage (makeup application for trauma scenarios).
In my free time, I enjoy the outdoors, unplanned road trips, and spending time with friends.
I enjoy mentoring others, whether in small groups like Scouting, community classes, or larger groups, like training with the Rescue Squad.
