Bradley Dean

Bradley Dean has worked in EMS for over 10 years, and served as Training Officer for Davidson County Emergency Services from 2003 – 2007, when he left there to become the first Asst. Disaster Planner & Recovery Specialist for the Triad Regional S-MAT team, a function of NC Baptist Hospitals Trauma RAC. Bradley is currently a Graduate Student at Wake Forest University, and is doing a co-hort study in the Health Policy and Administrations Programs at the School of Public Health at UNC-Chapel Hill in Community Preparedness and Disaster Management. He has earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Catawba College, as well as previously earning a degree in Emergency Medical Sciences. He has been involved with Fire, Rescue and EMS since the age of 13. During his senior year in high school he joined the North Carolina Army National Guard where he served for 10 years as a Fire Direction Control Specialist. Bradley currently serves as the chairman of the Emergency Cardiovascular Committee of the AHA in NC.


Glynn Lookabill

Glynn Lookabill is the sole remaining founder of Pre Med. Glynn, along with two other paramedics formed Pre Med with the mission of improving the quality of Pre-Hospital Education. It was, and still is, our opinion that EMT’s and Paramedics deserve “the A Team” EVERY time they attend a class. Glynn holds a Masters Degree in Education from Western Carolina University, and earned the equivalent of a second Masters from Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University, with a concentration in Sports Medicine & Anatomy. Glynn worked as a high school educator and Athletic Trainer for fourteen years, while also working in EMS for MEDIC, the Carolina’s largest and busiest EMS Agency for most of those same years. Glynn received his initial EMT certification while in undergraduate school in 1978, and began teaching EMT classes in 1982.

Glynn serves as AHA Regional Faculty for ACLS, BLS & PALS, and as National Faculty for BLS for the NC AHA ECC. He is also Affiliate Faculty for NC ITLS & Pedi-ITLS. Glynn holds Instructor certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS, ACLS-EP, PEARS, PEPP, ITLS, Pedi-ITLS, and Coordinator status for Advanced Trauma Life Support.

Glynn continues to maintain his basic level NC EMT certification.


Katie Talk

Katie Talk is the Clinical Educator for Advanced Circulatory Systems, manufacturer of the ResQPOD and ResQGard. She began a career in emergency medicine after witnessing a traumatic event that cost a child his life. She worked for 24 years as a paramedic/ quality management specialist for Cumberland County EMS, Fayetteville, NC. She has been active in AHA since 1984 and is currently the NC National Faculty for PALS, as well as Regional Faculty for ACSL and BLS. She has also been involved in ITLS since 1984.

She currently has a position on the NCEMS-C -EMS for Children Committee, NC AHA Advisory Committee and is still active in teaching AHA, ITLS and PEPP (Pediatric Education for Prehospital Providers).

She holds certifications in CCEMTP, NR-Paramedic, NC- Paramedic, NC level II Instructor, as well as National Faculty AHA PALS /Regional Faculty ACLS-BLS, ITLS and EMS-C PEPP and has an AAS in Emergency Medicine.

She is a proud mother of two – one in medical school, one a supervisor/carpenter. She has 6˝ (yes, one on the way) amazing grandchildren and resides in So. Ea. NC.


Meiki Rose, MD

Dr. Rose, or “Meiki” as she is known to her friends and colleagues, has been an Emergency Medicine attending Physician at Randolph Hospital in Asheboro, NC since 2002. She is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine. Meiki was a resident at State University of New York in Syracuse, NY from 1999 – 2002, and is a Graduate of UNC-School of Medicine. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology & German from Duke Univ. in 1991.

Meiki is an Instructor for ACLS, ITLS, Pedi-ITLS and PALS, and is certified in Advanced Trauma Life Support. Meiki worked as an EMT-Paramedic from 1993 – 2000 and was a member of Orange Co. Rescue Squad from 1991 – 1994. In 1994 she served as a summer Research Intern at the National Institute of Health.

In addition to serving as the Medical Director for PreMed, Meiki works with the US Army’s Special Forces Robin Sage Drills as a Medical Liaison.
