Glynn Lookabill is the sole remaining founder of Pre Med. Glynn, along with two other paramedics, formed Pre Med with the mission of improving the quality of Pre-Hospital Education. It was, and still is, our opinion that EMT’s and Paramedics deserve “The A Team” EVERY time they attend a class. Glynn holds a Masters Degree in Education from Western Carolina University, and earned the equivalent of a second Masters from Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University, with a concentration in Sports Medicine & Anatomy. Glynn worked as a high school educator and Athletic Trainer for fourteen years, while also working in EMS for MEDIC, the Carolina’s largest and busiest EMS Agency for most of those same years. Glynn received his initial EMT certification while in undergraduate school in 1978, and began teaching EMT classes in 1982.
Glynn serves as AHA Regional Faculty for ACLS, BLS & PALS, and as National Faculty for BLS for the NC AHA ECC. He is also Affiliate Faculty for NC ITLS & Pedi-ITLS. Glynn holds Instructor certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS, ACLS-EP, PEARS, PEPP, ITLS, Pedi-ITLS, and Coordinator status for Advanced Trauma Life Support.
Glynn continues to maintain his basic level NC EMT certification.
