Gary Linder, a Level II Paramedic Instructor, is a paramedic with over 25 years of experience in EMS education, management and leadership. Gary has been a EMS Crew Chief, Senior FTO, EMS Training Officer, Flight Paramedic, Community Paramedic and Tactical Paramedic. He is currently a Training and Education Specialist and Tactical Education Coordinator for Durham County EMS. He also served in the US Naval Reserves as a SAR Corpsman / Rescue Swimmer.

Gary is former AHA National Faculty for ACLS in North Carolina as well as a former AHA Regional Faculty in ACLS, BLS and PALS. He also holds multiple instructor certifications and is a past graduate of UMBC and University of Iowa Critical Care Paramedic Programs. He is also a North Carolina EMS level-1 Paramedic Instructor. Gary has been published in Professional EMS Journals including The Journal of Emergency Medical Services & EMS World and has been a guest speaker at the UNC May Day Conference, JEMS and others. Gary previously worked at MEDIC (the Carolina’s busiest EMS agency in Charlotte), Greenville (SC) EMS, First Health EMS / CCT, UNC Air Care and Wake County EMS.

Gary is married, has Jack Russell Terriers, plays the drums and teaches Tae Kwon Do.
