Today, National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) announced a major change to their cognitive test format with the implementation of Technology Enhanced Items, i.e. questions that involve multimedia such as pictures and video.

But also included in this move are new answer formats. Students may now see Multiple Response questions (i.e. "pick all answers that apply"), Ordered Response questions (i.e. "put these steps in the correct order"), and questions that ask the candidate to highlight important information or match pieces of information. ...
